INDIANAPOLIS — IndyGo’s Board of Directors recently announced Abbe Hohmann as its newest member. Hohmann brings with her a wealth of experience in real estate management and economic development, which will benefit IndyGo as it continues to grow and innovate in the public transit sector. She was appointed by the Indianapolis City-County Council and replaces Lise Pace on IndyGo’s board.
Hohmann is president and owner of Site Strategies Advisory, LLC., which she launched in 2012. She has more than 35 years of experience working with property owners, users and developers across Indiana and her local clients include Indianapolis Public Schools, Citizens Energy Group, Allison Transmission, Indianapolis Airport Authority and IU Health. One of her many projects involved selling the historic Coca-Cola plant, which has been transformed into Bottleworks, a key anchor of the Mass Ave Cultural District.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Hohmann is known for her community service commitments. She currently volunteers on the Board of Directors of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC). Previously, she served as chair of the Indianapolis Marion County Building Authority and was involved with financing for the construction of the new Eskenazi Hospital on Indy’s west side. Hohmann has also served as a board member of the Indy Arts Council, Easter Seals Crossroads, the Indianapolis City Market and Big Sisters of Central Indiana, where she co-chaired Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Finally, she was a United Way board member and chaired its Capital Fund Committee, which was responsible for awarding partner agencies competitive grants to improve their facilities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Abbe to our Board of Directors as she brings a fresh perspective to the agency,” said IndyGo Board of Directors Chair Gregory Hahn. “Her knowledge and experience with the Indianapolis area, local real estate and business community will be instrumental in guiding IndyGo to new heights and achieving our strategic goals.”
Hohmann is an Indianapolis native, who graduated from Bishop Chatard High School before attending Purdue University. In her free time, Hohmann enjoys playing bridge and mahjong with friends.
