INDIANAPOLIS – Public input is needed to help determine stop placement, lane configuration, and downtown routing for Indianapolis’ second rapid transit line – the Purple Line.
The Purple Line is one component of the larger Marion County Transit Plan, which proposes significant improvements system-wide. This frequent, fast, and reliable service is a core operational element of an efficient and connected grid of routes.
Throughout mid-July, IndyGo will host several open houses to solicit public feedback on the next capital project of the Transit Plan. IndyGo staff and consultants will be available to answer questions during open houses after offering a brief presentation at the start of each session.
IndyGo staff and volunteers will continue to conduct outreach on Route 39 this week to inform riders of upcoming public meetings and receive feedback on the Purple Line. Those interested but unable to attend scheduled public meetings are encouraged to submit comments to Customer Service (317.635.3344) or online via comment form.
