INDIANAPOLIS — IndyGo would like to remind riders and motorists of the next closure due to Red Line enhancements and safety upgrades to station platforms and the pavement along the dedicated bus lanes. On or after Monday, Nov. 7, bus pad reinforcement and concrete pouring will close the Red Line station on Meridian Street at Fall Creek Parkway. The closure will affect both north and southbound vehicular traffic. Work is expected to be completed within 21 days.
During the closure, northbound vehicular traffic will be shifted to Central Avenue between 30th Street and Fall Creek Parkway. Southbound vehicular traffic will be shifted to Central Avenue between 29th Street and Fall Creek Parkway. (See motorist impacts map below.)
Riders can expect delays and detours in their commutes through late November. Temporary north and southbound Red Line stops will be located at Meridian and 25th streets. (See rider impacts map below.)
As a reminder, IndyGo is making these improvements to the Red Line to provide additional long-term stability and protect the significant investment made in the system’s infrastructure. Overall project construction is expected to last through summer 2023.
