INDIANAPOLIS (March 8, 2018) – Public input is needed to inform the strategic direction of transit projects. IndyGo will host public meetings in March and April to share information and solicit feedback on a two-way street conversion at Central Avenue, plans for stop consolidation in the downtown area, and Purple Line rapid transit.
Central Avenue two-way street conversion:
IndyGo and the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works are partnering to plan and construct changes on Central Avenue to allow two-way traffic between Fall Creek and 10th Street. Two public meetings will be held to update the public on the status of the project and gather feedback.

Downtown Super Stops:
To better accommodate more local buses in downtown Indianapolis as part of the Transit Plan, IndyGo is planning to improve transit stop infrastructure for better service on Alabama Street, Delaware Street, and Fort Wayne Avenue. Five focused public meetings will be held to determine locations and design elements of the stops.
