INDIANAPOLIS – IU Health has pushed back the start of the detour linked to the Methodist Hospital construction to on or after Jan. 11, due to the College Football Playoff National Championship game taking place in Indianapolis. Details on the adjustments are the same. Two IndyGo Red Line stations will be closed, resulting in detours and temporary stops that are expected to last through March 2022.
Stations on Capitol Avenue at 14th and 18th streets will be closed during this time. Northbound and southbound service will experience a detour between 10th Street at Capitol Avenue and 18th Street at Meridian Street. There will be three temporary stops along Meridian Street at 10th, 13th and 16th streets.
Southbound service on Routes 18 and 28 will also experience detours and closures on Capitol Avenue between 21st and 10th streets. Riders can use the same temporary stops along Meridian Street at 10th, 13th and 16th streets. Route 25 will remain on its current detour.
