INDIANAPOLIS — IndyGo has long been celebrated for advancing mobility, creating innovative transit opportunities and excellent customer service. Now, the agency is announcing another acknowledgement: exceptional performance and adherence to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements and policies, as it receives its second consecutive perfect score on the latest Triennial Review. This review is conducted every three years and examines the operations of all transportation agencies nationwide that receive Urbanized Area Formula Program funds, to ensure they are meeting statutory and administrative requirements.
IndyGo showed no deficiencies and was found in compliance with all 23 areas of inspection, including operations, finance, maintenance, civil rights and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), procurement, project and transit asset management, legal and agency safety.
“Receiving another perfect score on this extensive review is the latest example of how our team is performing outstanding and essential work, not only locally but also nationally,” said IndyGo President and CEO Jennifer Pyrz. “Being the leader of an agency that consistently demonstrates its ability to surpass industry standards is beyond rewarding, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
A key part of IndyGo’s preparation for the review included a pre-audit process to evaluate where the agency could strengthen its operations. The perfect score further emphasizes IndyGo is a good steward of taxpayer dollars with policies and procedures in place to enhance its mission to connect the community to cultural and economic opportunities through safe, reliable and accessible mobility experiences. The FTA awarded IndyGo an Achievement of Excellence Certificate following the comprehensive review process.
IndyGo currently operates 30 fixed routes throughout Marion County, provides more than six million trips annually and serves more than 2,600 bus stops, utilizing a fleet of approximately 300 buses.
