IndyGo has been selected to receive $400,000 through the Federal Transit Administration’s Accelerating Innovative Mobility (AIM) initiative. IndyGo’s project will focus on a multi-channel payment and trip-planning platform for multiple modes and providers.
Of the announcement, IndyGo President and CEO Inez Evans said:
“We are so appreciative of the Federal Transit Administration and the elected officials that supported our efforts to secure this grant. The funds awarded through this grant will be used to facilitate IndyGo’s efforts to increase mobility options in Indianapolis. Mobility is about more than traditional fixed route service, and IndyGo is committed to seeking innovative ways of providing transportation and mobility services. We are excited to continue our efforts to advance mobility in Indianapolis, and this grant will help us to do just that.”
