Open Door Customers - No Shows/Late Cancellations
1/10/2008
Excessive cancellations and no shows directly impact IndyGo’s ability to deliver services and causes inconveniences for all customers. The policy for Late Cancellations and No Shows will be enforced on a daily basis.
The policy defines the terms as follows:
Late Cancellation: Less than twenty-four (24) hours advance notice to cancel your scheduled trip.
No Show: Failure to give any notice prior to scheduled pickup time.
Penalties - Please refer to page 15 in the Open Door Rider’s Guide
* Four (4) No Shows or Late Cancellations within a month - First occurrence: Suspension of service up to 30 days.
* Subsequent penalties can lead up to suspension of service for up to one year with mandatory re-application for eligibility.
* Excessive late cancellations and/or no shows may also result in the termination of subscription service.
This policy allows for illness due to your disability or other events beyond your control. Documentation may be required, so we suggest that you keep a log of the dates when these situations happen. All customers will have the opportunity to appeal a suspension decision. Please refer to page 29 in the Open Door Rider’s Guide for more information.

Change in pick up window - Open Door Riders
10/11/2007
Effective Thursday, November 1, 2007, IndyGo will change the current 30-minute pick up window from 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time to 5 minutes before and 25 minutes after the scheduled pick up time.
As we continue to look for ways to improve services, the time change will: * Better align arrival times with scheduled pick up times * Reduce the number of no shows * Improve on-time performance
The new window period will be 5 minutes before and up to 25 minutes after the scheduled pick up time.
For example, if your pick up time is scheduled for 8 a.m., the vehicle may arrive anytime between 7:55 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. This window adjustment means that arrival times will be more in line with the passenger’s requested pick up time. Also, with the five (5) minute wait, a bus will not be able to mark a passenger as a no show and leave before their scheduled pick up time.
If you have regular subscription rides, we encourage you to monitor any effects of the new time window on your pick ups. If an adjustment is needed in your scheduled pick up times, please call Open Door reservations at 917-8747 to request a change.
Thank you for riding IndyGo!
