INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IndyGo) has organized “Unlocking City, State, and Federal Disadvantaged Business Programs; Working with IndyGo” for current Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE), Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) organizations, those interested in applying for certification, and any non-disadvantaged businesses interested in working with IndyGo. The event will be held at the Indiana Landmarks Center on Tuesday, May 17 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

IndyGo is committed to the success of minority and women-owned businesses and supports a corporate DBE program, designed to ensure equal opportunity for participation in US Department of Transportation (DOT) assisted contracts. IndyGo also invites the community to provide feedback on the methodology for establishing the Corporation’s overall DBE goal for the 2017 – 2019 period.

The first session will focus on the City of Indianapolis MBE, WBE, VBE, and DOBE certification process, the state of Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) MBE, WBE, and VBE certification process, and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) DBE certification process. The second session will discuss upcoming IndyGo procurements, DBE goal setting consultation, and IndyGo updates about the Red Line as well as other upcoming projects.
